Hello from the Evanses

Hello All,

What a great resource for getting to know everyone in the neighborhood!

On May 27th, we (Christopher, Christie and Chloe Evans) will close on the purchase of 2403 Bridle Ridge.  We will have some minor construction going on for a couple of weeks (we're "finishing" the interior of the garage and adding a storage loft in it as well), and we'll be painting several rooms of the interior.  Then the "big move" will happen on June 17th and 18th.

We're moving in from Wellesley, after living there for only a year.  We moved there from Wyndham, but have become tired of the close-in neighborhood environment.  Christopher grew up on a large dairy farm in Concord, in Campbell County, near Lynchburg.  Christie was born in Milan, where her parents were located with GE, but more or less grew up in Lynchburg.  So Christopher's looking forward to a return, of sorts, to the country, and Christie's glad to have space to roam.  Christopher also has several Trice/Barkley family members in Goochland.

Christie's a Sales Consultant for Lawson Products, and Christopher is a Financial Analyst for Wellpoint's Health Management Corporation.  The third Evans, Chloe, just turned 10 year's old and will be a rising 5th Grader at Goochland Elementary.  In addition, we have two Shih-Tzu's named Sebastian and Sasha who just wander around the house looking for snacks.

Please feel welcome to come by and say hi.  If there's a neighbor who provides dog-sitting services, please send them our way.

Welcome to the neighborhood.  Glad to have you join us.
After you get settled, please consider joining one of the committees supporting the HH Homeowners Association.  We are just starting up the
HOA as homeowner-run, taking it over from the developer Centex.  Plenty of work to do, no pay but the hours are not bad.  There are also social events including bunko (whatever that is) nights with more events developing.
We're next to the Incline Court fire access road with the overly friendly yellow lab (he has an invisible fence out to the property line).  Stop by if you are out walking.

Welcome!  We are the Earley Family!

We live on Horseshoe Bend - welcome to the neighborhood!  It truly is a great place to be in Goochland.

We have 2 younger boys ages 5 and 6 at home and one going to college next year (he lives in Illinois - we are from the Chicago area).  We have been here for 3 years and do not plan on moving - considering three of our neghbors are up for sale......honest, we do take showers here!  LOL

Anyway, thanks for the introduction - I'm sure we will see you out for walks!

An official hello from the backside of HH!  Welcome to Goochland.  I think you'll like it here.  Our family also returned to our rural roots after living in the Nuckols corridor area of the west end for 12 years.  We could tell things were getting a little crazy once the mall was built!  We also have a 10 year old, rising 5th grade daughter (Corinne) as well as a rising 1st grader (Jacinda).  They are girly girls, so if Chloe is the same, they may have some things in common. 

We have an ice cream social and cookout in the works on the social committee.  We'll be sure to post these on the website as soon as we've nailed down a date.  In the mean time, please feel free to call with any questions or to chat.  Good luck with your renovations/painting and see you in June!
